And we are live!
Well, its taken just a little longer than I thought it would to be honest.
After registering redIT Hosting Limited in January 2022 and thinking I would get everything all setup in a week or two, here we are nearly a whole 8 months later and our first customer invoice has just gone out the door (well Inbox anyway).
Why the long wait I hear you ask.
Well, after I got all the paperwork sorted and new bank accounts (that a different story) I just happened to have a request from an existing customer to upgrade their account.
Perfect my brain thinks, lets move you over to the new company at the same time.
So that what we did.
A new firewall, new network and our new in-house written customer billing/management platform.
Yes, you heard it right. Our new billing platform is finally live!
OK, its not as fully feature packed as I had planned. However, it looks great gives the details need and has just done the first invoice.
The next step now is to keep it running like this for a while and make any improvements that we find and then move on to another product and then move those customers over to redIT Hosting Limited.
Of course, all of this will be a soft and slow process, but it feels so good to finally have what I thought was such a simple idea come to life, and trust me when I say that just getting the first product sorted turned into a mammoth project.
