Black Friday Offers

I’ll start of now by saying that if your looking for a list of what we are going to give a discount on this year then you will be disappointed.

I don’t want to go around saying its anyone’s fault or this has happened etc. etc. as that’s just saying its not my fault and that’s really not what I want redIT to be about.

Although that said, just like everyone else in the UK at the moment our day to day running costs with both our data centre partners have increased lately and we have not up our prices up to match.

Now, what we could do is a great offer on our hosting packages or our VPS images that would get us a few new customers for a few months which would be great.

Although when we have offered these type of deals before through a select group of Hosting Forums or Hosting Groups we have seen that the new customer only normally stays around for the duration of the offer they have taken and then they move on as they have found a new offer somewhere else.

Now, while I fully understand this and I take my hat of to anyone that can keep on top of this level of site/server migration pattern. For us as a company this does not really help us.

That discount that we give to a new service has to come from somewhere and if at the end of the 6 month discounted rate the new service is not continued (even at our normal rates) we as a business have still lost out somewhere.

Now I’m not saying that we are cash strapped and need every penny, but we are a small web hosting company and we don’t have massive margins on the services that we offer.

So the bottom line is this, we will not be offering any Black Friday deals this year and we plan on not putting our prices up until we absolutely have too. Our costs have increased, but we don’t won’t the price that our customers pay to us to increase either.
